Mountain Flax or Wharariki
Phormium cookianum
Found both in mountains and along coastlines. This is a smaller and more "weeping" form than Phormium tenax. Graceful, shiny green leaves. Extremely hardy. Flowers Nov-Jan. Can be grown as a container plant.
